TARGET A NEWtritious YOU is a service design project designed to help improve the problems that arise with food deserts. Food deserts are areas, urban or rural, that have limited access to fresh food. Especially in urban areas the neighborhoods are only services by mini-marts and fast food. A lot of problems evolved from the food desert dilemma. Two problems focused on for this project are: access and education. Because of the lack of fresh food in the area there is a generational gap in knowing how to plan, budget, and cook fresh meals. This project focuses on the educational and problems of access that food deserts cause. Watch the video to find out how these problems are addressed.
