niche. is the couch you keep, no matter how your circumstances change over time. A truly modular system, niche. is designed to grow with the user, adapting to new spaces and style preferences over time. A single chair can quickly become a modern loveseat or a more traditional sofa. Fabrics can be swapped with ease, and broken components are easily replaced, saving time, money, and materials when an accident occurs.
The system is designed to be low-cost at its base level, ensuring individuals on college budgets can purchase the couch as they move into new spaces. However, its is easy to upgrade and change different components of your niche. system, allowing users to totally refresh the look of their couch as desired. Furthermore, the couch is easy to pack up and move, and even easier to recycle when it is no longer useful. niche. has been created to minimize furniture waste, while maximizing furniture functionality.
Alec Gonos has always been a passionate student, frequently finding diverse areas of study that peak his interest. Due to this, he will be graduating from Ohio State with degrees in both industrial design and biology, and hopes to find a job where he can combine his passion for the environment with his love for all things design. Sustainable furniture may be his current focus, but he ultimately desires to get involved in the design of green energy-related products and systems.
