OHM Modular Headphones

Music has become prevalent to the point of near omnipotence in the role it plays throughout one’s day. Just as it has always been capable of, music can determine our state of immersion as well as awareness. The use cases now affected by our music experience extend all the way from the bedroom to the locker room, from the cubicle to the couch, and nearly every space in-between. Our music is just as centric to our personal identities as it’s ever been. What OHM seeks to do, is to bridge the gap in between those use cases. Whereas current consumer lifestyles necessitate various specific headphone devices, OHM, as a singular device is able to switch between a more mobile, lightweight configuration, and seamlessly transform into a higher fidelity, comfort-focused configuration.
Khanya Keswa is a 4th-year Industrial Design student at OSU. Born in the US and raised in SouthAfrica, he credits the diversity of his experiences for the method with which he practices his creativity. From a young age however, technology and gadgetry have also had a significant presence in his life whether through hobbies or just plain interest. As his creative identity developed in high school, and subsequently OSU, these factors combined to form the designer he is today.
