Physical inactivity is a global public health problem. Only 19% of adolescents meet the WHO global recommendation which is 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity every day. The closure of educational institutions due to the outbreak of COVID 19 accelerated the problem even more. Moreover, as the proportion of decreasingly active individuals was exceptionally high during childhood and adolescence, the education sector could do little about it due to remote learning. There is a strong need for the physical education system to support individuals in an inclusive, controlled, and motivated way.

Peppy is a large online platform that provides middle and high school students with physical activity contents based on their interests, personal strengths & weaknesses, and locations. Leveraging the power of technology and gamification, it empowers users to be mindful and motivated in participating in daily physical activities during and beyond the pandemic.
