Proudly planted is a sustainability-focused plant brand with the mission of inspiring passionate gardeners to grow native plant species for their ecological impact. The brand provides useful, comprehensive, and accessible information for easy and enjoyable gardening. The brand utilizes eco-effective packaging, made with 100% biodegradable materials, that helps reduce waste and gives user a simpler gardening experience. The brand’s merchandise displays are state-themed and are supplied with plants and seeds of species native to the state’s region. Users can also receive helpful watering reminders and learn more about their native plants through the brand’s phone app. By engaging with the brand, gardeners can feel a heightened sense of accomplishment because their efforts are beautifying their homes and supporting the environment.

Cain Lanker is a 2020 graduate of The Ohio State University with a BSD in Visual Communications Design and a minor in business. Within design, he is passionate about UX and brand development, among other areas. Cain strongly values collaboration, exploration, and iteration when working through the design process. Through his work, he strives to use design as a methodology for social and ecological change.
