Re/volve
Molly Dennig
Visual Communication Design, 2014
Re/volve is a system designed to minimize waste by repurposing old materials into beautiful, handmade products. The objective was to design a service that connects producers of waste (people and businesses) with artists and designers that can create something new from it. From there came the opportunity to sell the products in an online platform. It was also very important to create an awareness of the power of upcycling and make it seem like something that everyone can contribute to.
Final deliverables for the project included an animated video that explains the idea, a website concept shown through a video walk-through, and a documentation book that further explains the research and ideation behind re/volve.
Molly Dennig is a positive and curious designer with a passion for service and user experience design. She loves to use her knowledge and skills in visual communication to bring joy to people and make their lives easier. This love for human-centered design stemmed from a collaborative design studio and research class taken junior year at Ohio State.
She chose to do her thesis around sustainability and environmental responsibility because it is an ever-emerging and important theme in design practices. If you help the earth, you help its people!
Molly is currently seeking a full time position and would love to work in service, user experience, or interaction design.
