The Franklinton Refurbishment is a community-oriented education program aimed at connecting residents of Franklinton, OH with local home maintenance professionals. The design focuses on inspiring curiosity and involvement in the city's revitalization efforts by empowering community members to contribute. Aspiring or current homeowners develop hands-on maintenance skills through workshops held within the facility. Participants learn how to use various tools and apply those skills to their personal home renovation projects. A tool rental desk provides equitable access to equipment for community members to utilize as they transfer learned skills to further Franklinton’s beautification efforts. A positive impact on the development of Franklinton is cultivated by fostering community engagement and providing a space where residents can come together and learn from one another.
