RESOL3D is a shoe sole replacement system for worn out athletic and lifestyle shoes.
Each year an estimated 300 million pairs of shoes are thrown away in the US. This really adds up when you take into consideration that it can take up to 60+ years for a shoe to fully decompose. Shoe companies are making strides to become more environmentally friendly but the amount of waste that comes from the shoe industry is piling up.
RESOL3D allows tired worn out shoes the opportunity to be revived to a new pair of shoes. Using 3d printing technology, users can select their models, handpick the color of their new sole, chose their cushioning system and get their soles replaced at their nearest cobbler store. RESOL3D strives to bring shoes into the circular economy and allow them to begin a new life, instead of being discarded to sit in a landfill and harm our planet further.
