The Rippling Rose: Engaging the Franklinton community through social entrepreneurship
Meg Kimball
Interior Design, 2023
The Rippling Rose is a flower shop that aims to support women of Franklinton who are breaking the cycle of prostitution, ready for employment, and interested in building a community. It is an opportunity to build positive relationships, reduce the chance of recidivism or relapse, and allow for expression and growth. The facility will offer a small business ownership and operation mentorship program. Employees are extended supportive services through therapeutic horticulture in the form of floral design. From the garden to studio and into the classroom, The Rippling Rose hopes to heal mind, body, and soul.
