Rise

Visual Communication Design, 2017
Rise is a platform that merges the freedom of self directed learning, the engagement of gamification, and the impact of instruction from real musicians. Through visual feedback and progress, it enables those who wish to learn percussion to identify areas of improvement in a dynamic, encouraging, and engaging way.
From the start, students are connected with instructors from around the world based on their musical interests, goals, and skill level. Once they find the perfect fit, Rise provides the support and organization needed to practice in-between lessons away from their instructor. A customizable audio/visual practice experience allows for more personal and dynamic learning sessions. Students can visualize their progress and recognize areas of improvement through Play Mode, where instructors can challenge students to play material at a set tempo and duration. Audio recognition gives feedback on their playing based on their accuracy and timing. Ultimately this allows students, especially beginners, to engage in meaningful practice repetition.
As students grow and move through their musical journey, Rise gives them the freedom to search, explore, and engage in other aspects of music; stretching their knowledge and musicality.
