Rounding the Corner

Rounding the Corner

Jessica Rohr

Interior Design, 2020

Franklinton is suffering from the Opioid Crisis. This ongoing battle with opioids has been linked to the main reason for why ⅓ of children have been placed into foster care. Rounding the Corner will focus on the needs of adolescents in foster care by serving as a cross between a community and counseling center. It will act as a safe space that will foster an environment to aid in their growth. An assortment of therapy spaces, group fitness classes as well as community events will be provided as outlets for teens to better themselves mentally, physically, and socially to ultimately prepare them for a bright future.
