SkipSquad

Tori Boggs

Industrial Design, 2017

The purpose of SkipSquad is to establish a progressively educational program based on developmentally appropriate physical activity that will improve the health, wellness, and sporting experiences of all youth participants using jump rope as the model and design as the means. The skills in the SkipSquad program were based on how kids progress through the skill levels in the sport. As a child achieves more jump rope skills through the levels, he or she builds through foot coordination, hand coordination, and overall body movement. The program was built to allow a participant to work at his or her own pace, while still being able to interact with friends regardless of where he or she is in the program.
