Starry Night is a Veteran Wellness Center which has five main focal areas, they include social development, emotional stigma, family structure, spiritual mind set, and physical wellbeing. In order to successfully incorporate all of these, Starry Night is a two level facility with a social atmosphere on the first floor and a more self involved atmosphere on the second floor.
The first level opens to a reception area for veterans to properly get aquainted with the facility and all of the programs offered. Veterans then enter into a bar and open kitchen area for socializing which also opens into a stage, dining, and gaming center. Also located on the first level is a classroom for a wide variety of activities to be held there.
The second level incorporates a small child care center, gym fully equipt with locker rooms, an open concept library and computer lab. The north side of the second floor is dedicated to four private counseling offices and one large group counseling area. The purpose of this center is to provide veterans with a place to feel at home and assistant them in their transition back to the civilian lifestyle.
