The children of Franklinton, Ohio, are subject to educational disadvantages due to the school district they are placed in. Comparing Franklinton students to students in other surrounding towns, the Franklinton kids have significantly lower education rates, resources, and programs. Strive for Excellence is a place where 6th to 12th-grade students can get the help they are not receiving in school, including academic support, life skills, interpersonal dynamics, and financial literacy, and providing a place for children to be creative, stay active, and join clubs. Strive for Excellence's goal is to form a relationship between a healthy education and creative exploration to create an impact on the Franklinton community now and for future generations.

Michela Brunetta graduated from the Ohio State University Interior Design program in 2022. Her academic career has taught her to become an effective problem solver allowing her to turn ideas into functional design solutions. She is excited to take her experience learned in school to her career.
