Topsy Turvy Clinic: A Health Center for Children & Families

By transforming a traditional pediatric clinic into a wonderland, we can create a positive healthcare experience for children and families. Topsy Turvy Clinic is a health center for children and parents in the city of Franklinton, OH. This project is an adaptive reuse of an old fire station with a new program that betters the physical and mental health of visitors through wonder and delight. I believe that by creating a health center that is a fun place for children and parents to visit, it will motivate them to have a more active part in their health and wellbeing.
To achieve this, Topsy Turvy Clinic provides children with both physical and mental activity while they are here for checkups and exams. Dedicated spaces, simple circulation, and natural materials help patients to feel at home and staff to easily navigate the space.
