Millions of Americans take trips every year to the beach or to other outdoor activities. Families, especially with small children, take large amounts of items ranging from toys, equipment, a cooler and more. While there are products on the market to increase a vehicle’s carrying capacity and products to help carry items to their activity, there are no products that blend the two together and eliminate the need to transfer the items from one to the other.

TysGO offers the user the security of a cargo carrier and blends it with the mobility of a cart. TysGO is a carrier with a weatherproof design and offers further functionality such as organization through partitioned storage compartments, a lid with cup holders, and an attachable tray to help keep a variety of items off the ground. The custom sliding hitch makes mounting and unmounting the carrier easy with no need for heavy lifting. Its blow molded construction is tough and makes clean-up as simple as spraying it out with a garden hose and leaving it to dry.

Jared Gates believes that the role of industrial design is to create not only visually desirable objects but to chiefly innovate new solutions that make tasks easier and improve the user’s experience. Jared has many hobbies and interests centered around making things including wood and metal working.  He has a technical mindset and a background in fine art which leads to a natural inclination towards sketching and creating functional objects.
