Verdure is a community health center that is designed to provide crucial primary care and fresh food to the Franklinton community by reducing barriers such as cost, lack of insurance, and distance. The once-engine house has been repurposed into a center that includes a health clinic, pharmacy, and food pharmacy hoping to improve the health and wellbeing of the community.

Aimed at creating a healthier community, the integration of a food pharmacy is key as members of the community can come to pick up their personalized food prescriptions downstairs at the health hub after a check-up from the clinic upstairs. Infographics that describe chronic diseases and foods are also placed on countertops for community members to view as they walk around. Along with the food pharmacy, the pharmacy is also located downstairs to provide affordable prescriptions regardless of financial status. Small workshops are meant to reach out to community members and hear their voices. Workshops range from education about chronic disease to how to spot adverse drug reactions to healthy cooking classes on a budget.
