Zami: Empowering the Local Queer Community

Zami: Empowering the Local Queer Community

Annie Waugh

Industrial Design, 2023

The rapid decline of lesbian safe spaces is a call to action; there is a need to empower local queer spaces, artists, and individuals through both financial and community support. Zami acknowledges how essential it is for queer individuals to be connected with their local queer community, and in the digitized world we live in, there is a gap in the market for an online queer safe space.

Zami is an app designed for the local queer community to connect to their local queer spaces, seek advice, and support each other. It provides a forum for individuals to ask big life questions and receive answers from a community that has experienced it before. Users can stay informed about local deals, events, discounts, and more. The Zami community supports others to navigate life as a queer individual.
