Objectives
By the end of this course, students will:
- Understand the essential concepts of the topics focus: Design for mass production
- Understand the essential concepts of the methods focus: Strategic industrial design (consultancy)
- Understand the essential concepts of the practice focus: Design within visual brand identity (VBL)
- Know how to navigate a design team environment
Course Materials
- Students use a variety of materials in this course
- Alternative materials may be explored or needed on a per project basis as you explore your ideas
- Be creative and responsible (share, recycle etc.)
- Plan ahead when ordering online
- All project deadlines must be met, and late delivery of materials or last-minute shopping is not valid as an excuse for late work
- All required readings will be posted to Carmen
Course Organization
This is a 3 credit hour course that meets in person twice a week for 2:20 each day
