MFA Students Present at Edward F. Hayes Advanced Research Forum

On February 28th, two Design MFA students, Joshua Antolovic and Alberto Vega Rivera, presented their research at the Edward F. Hayes Advanced Research Forum. The Hayes Research Forum promotes an intellectual exchange between graduate students and postdoctoral scholars as they showcase their research.
Antolovic’s research focuses on the development of game design through a method called “Interpretive Gameplay”. His paper proposes using the game Minecraft to establish a baseline by which the study of Interpretive Gameplay could be implemented to “generate ideas for new games using co-design" (Antolovic).
Rivera, a graduate of the National University of Colombia, received his Master in Audiovisual Communication from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina. Through his research titled “Weaving family memories in times of armed conflict”, Rivera seeks to explore the integration of personal and collective memory through immersive design.
