Assistant professor Yvette Shen will share her work on “Quantified and Qualified Self: Digitalizing, Visualizing & Introspection” with the Data and Design Community on May 31^st at 10:00am EDT (16:00pm CET). After an initial SIG event at CHI’22, the Data & Design Community will host a bi-monthly event to nurture the community at the intersection of data and design. The event is hosted by TU Delft, Industrial Design Engineering. The presentation is online via the MS Teams community channel.

Yvette’s presentation will discuss several university class-based design projects for helping learners better understand themselves and their surroundings while learning the fundamental knowledge and techniques of information design. The metacognitive learning approach illustrates the potential of using data-driven information design and information visualization as an empowerment tool to support the students’ well-being.
