Education

Gabriela is a designer, educator, and student. She earned her BSD in Industrial Design from The Ohio State University in 2020 and has four years of industry experience in exhibit design. In that role, she contributed to environmental graphics, interior layouts, interactive experiences, and custom furniture design for community-based and educational exhibit spaces.

In 2024, Gabriela completed a 2,650-mile thru-hike of the Pacific Crest Trail before transitioning into teaching. She currently teaches design foundations on the Columbus and Newark campuses. Alongside her teaching, she is pursuing a Master’s in Social Work part-time, bringing a people-centered and systems-aware perspective to her design and teaching practice.
