DIVI: Room Division System

Industrial Design, 2023
DIVI is a nonintrusive room division system capable of creating dynamic space. It aspires to be a cost-effective and minimally involved environment creation tool.
Partnered with DESIS Lab and hosted in Dominion Middle School, DIVI facilitates a creative space surrounding the HYVE-3D, an immersive alternate reality experience, accommodating a wide variety of communities - from students to mature audiences.
Experiencing limitations in permanent installations, DIVI is a reaction to exclusive room orientation, a taking back of control to spaces once deemed unchangeable.
Utilizing a specially designed clip, DIVI installs onto any drop ceiling to hold your curtain of choice which may segment spaces into manageable pieces shaped however one desires. Neodymium magnets and friction-based prongs tightly hold any fibrous material with a durable grasp.
DIVI is an option for many event organizers when working independently or when considering lightweight and easy-to-install solutions to dividing indoor spaces.
