Patients and nurses continue to suffer from a lack of proper patient transfer devices. Nurses are still manually lifting patients in and out of beds several times during long shifts in order to provide patient care. The Patient Transfer Aid is a medical device intended to help nurses transfer patients in and out of bed. The device is adaptable to wheelchairs, beds, and toilets but also features an integrated chair that can also be used to transfer the patient across the hospital. The device is incredibly sustainable, manually driven hydraulic pumps are used to drive every product movement, unlike most medical devices currently on the market that use electricity to power the device.
