Virtual Design Studio Experiences

Virtual Design Studio Experiences

Justin Pokorski

Visual Communication Design, 2022

This project focused on the design studio experiences throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic. The goal of this research is to collect the opinions of design students. These opinions primarily focused on how the pandemic influenced their learning. The project looked at the three most common delivery modes (in-person, virtual, hybrid) and how each impacted specific aspects of the design studio experience. These aspects are anywhere from lectures, presentations, critiques, etc. The end deliverables focused on how to deliver the findings from students to professors, faculty, and administrators. With the goal that these deliverables would aid in curriculum development and provide better insights into the student's experiences.
